Spanish giants Barcelona are in talks with Fiorentina for the clubs to play in the Joan Gamper trophy.
Roma had recently cancelled their agreement with Barcelona for the friendly game and this led to the Catalan side being rather angry with the Giallorossi.
FirenzeViola have reported that talks between Fiorentina and Barcelona are now underway, as they look to play the Joan Gamper trophy which is scheduled for early August at the Camp Nou. The deal is not done yet but Barca want La Viola to take part in the competition next month.
Following Roma’s cancellation of the tournament participation, Barcelona had threatened legal action against the Giallorossi. It was reported that Jose Mourinho believed that the gap between Roma’s start to the Serie A season and the Joan Gamper Trophy game was too less and Tiago Pinto made the vital call which ended up making Barca angry. Milan have already rejected an attempt from Barca recently.
