Brahim Díaz: “My teammates told me I should always play against Juventus”

Milan attacker Brahim Díaz notched up one of the most mesmerising goals of the weekend, subsequently leading the home side to a 2-0 victory against Juventus on Saturday evening.

Speaking to DAZN after the match, the former Manchester City man joked about his teammates telling him that he should play Juventus every weekend. As quoted by Alfredo Pedullà, the 23-year-old said:

“I want to play, it’s clear that it’s not good to be out, I want to show my qualities. I play where the coach puts me. We are a united team, we work a lot together and this is important.”

Speaking about his celebration, Brahim added:

“As a child, I always wanted to celebrate by taking off my shirt. My teammates, joking after the game, told me that I should always play against Juve. The most important thing, however, is the three points.”

Following a series of uninspiring performances, Brahim Díaz found his scoring boot in one of the most crucial matches of the campaign for the Rossoneri. With this goal, he has racked up two goals and one assist from seven matches in Serie A this season.
