Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a return to Inter ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to a report from Calciomercato, the Belgian striker is open to re-joining Inter from Chelsea this summer. But it is understood that Inter could only afford a loan deal for the forward this time, provided that Lukaku lowers his salary to a significant extent.
The 28-year-old currently earns a net salary of around โฌ13-14million at Chelsea. Should he join Inter this summer, he would not be reportedly getting a sum of more than โฌ6-6.5million. Furthermore, Inter have other targets in the market and donโt want to overpay for an asset that made him โฌ100million last summer.
If a summer transfer to Inter doesnโt go through, Lukaku could keep an eye on Antonio Conteโs movement. The current Tottenham Hotspur manager may not be in London next season, with links of him moving to Paris Saint-Germain gathering the pace. Lukaku would love to play under him at PSG. But as the report suggests, these are just hypotheses.
