Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku wants to return to Inter as his relationship with Thomas Tuchel has hit rock bottom.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report today that Lukaku has ‘never’ settled at Chelsea and the more time passes, the more the Belgian is realising that Chelsea is not made for him anymore. The report states that hope in Lukaku’s heart for a return to Inter as early as next season is growing.
It is suggested that nothing else gave him more joy in his career than playing for Inter. It is stated that an operation would be anything but simple, even though there’s a clear desire in Lukaku to seek a move back to the Nerazzurri.
He still owns his house in Milan and he was said to be close to his family there, as compared to how things are in London right now. Times at Chelsea are now said to be ‘stressful’ for him, especially after Tuchel’s comments after Chelsea’s win over Lille.
