Inter defender Stefan de Vrij would look forward to a challenge in the Premier League once his stint at the Nerazzurri ends.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that while updates are expected on the Ivan Perisic renewal front, no development has taken place in the De Vrij renewal front. De Vrij has just another year remaining on his contract at Inter and that is complicating the player’s situation.
There were talks for a renewal before COVID-19 hit but nothing has happened since then. And one of the reasons for that is because of De Vrij’s willingness to play in England in the future.Â
He hasn’t had a great season – not as great as the last two seasons and it is suggested that his contract situation has had a bearing on the player’s form. There is a feeling that he could leave in the summer from Inter but no offers have arrived for the Dutchman so far.
