Distance between Inter and Perisic for contract renewal

There is still a gap in valuation between Ivan Perisic and Inter for a new deal regarding the Croatian star.

Corriere della Sera today claim that despite Perisic’s match-winning performance in the Coppa Italia final yesterday and his words following that, the Croatian’s intention is that he wants to renew his deal at the club. But despite his wishes, there is a gap between the two parties.

The reason for the dispute lies in the contract length and wages on offer. Perisic wants a three-year deal worth €6 million a season whereas Inter are not going beyond a two-year deal worth €4 million per season. Inter’s signing of Robin Gosens indicated that they will not hesitate in moving towards a new direction.

Perisic will now have a decision to make – agree to lower his wage demands or listen to the offers that come for him from abroad. Clubs in Bundesliga and Premier League like him. A meeting with Inter for new contract talks was previously scheduled.
