Inter’s Romelu Lukaku could miss Milan derby due to muscle injury

Inter summer signing Romelu Lukaku has picked up a muscle injury and he could miss the upcoming Milan derby.

Sky Italia claim that Lukaku was in training for Inter on Sunday but he was forced to stop due a muscle problem on his left thigh. On Monday, the attacker will undergo new tests but the muscular issue will surely force him to skip the home match against Massimiliano Alvini’s Cremonese in the midweek round.

Apart from Cremonese, Lukaku is also at a serious risk of missing the Milan derby next weekend. Unless the Belgian shows signs of being fitter in the next few hours, it is likely that he will not be called up for the game on Saturday.

Lukaku is currently on loan at Inter from Chelsea and has already scored once. He found the back of the net in the first few minutes of the game against Lecce and he also has one assist to his name.
