Inter’s Simone Inzaghi asking for retrospection after their 3-1 defeat to Udinese

Inter stumbled upon another hurdle as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to Udinese on Sunday afternoon.

A fantastic opener from Nicolo Barella went in vain as an own goal from Inter’s Milan Skriniar and the consecutive strikes from Jaka Bijol and Tolgay Arslan secured all three points for the home side.

In the post-match press conference, Simone Inzaghi asked his team to do some retrospection. As quoted by Tutto Mercato Web, Inzaghi said:

“It’s time, last year we had lost three games after 30 matches, after 7 games there are now three defeats and therefore we must try to do better and more, I’m the coach and the first person in charge. Three away matches, three times ahead, and three defeats, we need to improve.”

Following the result, Inter have found a place in the seventh position, having garnered 12 points from seven matches. Pressure has started mounting on Inzaghi’s shoulders as it was their third defeat in the last five Serie A fixtures.
