Juventus’ Agnelli set to present Super League proposal in London today

Juventus’ Andrea Agnelli will present the new Super League proposal in London today.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the ESL would now be a tournament which will no longer be closed, with promotions and relegations, in two leagues of 20 teams each. At the moment these are only indiscretions, but Agnelli will today explain something more at a football summit organised by the Financial Times in London.

It is believed that the closed nature of the league was the main problem of the previously proposed format. It is suggested that the new Champions League format of 2024 could be used as a qualification process for the Super League, which could operate pretty much like the UEFA Nations League did with national teams.
