Juventus see Manchester United striker Anthony Martial as a potential alternative to Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.
Morata spent the previous two seasons on loan at Juve, who tried to sign him permanently this summer but they have failed in their attempts.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Massimiliano Allegri is looking to sign a striker who can rotate with Dusan Vlahovic. Morata is the prime target and he wants to return to the Bianconeri and he considers Turin to be his ‘home’ now. But the move is blocked by the demands of Atletico Madrid, even though they are looking for a striker themselves.
The key reason for Morata being liked by Juve is that he can even play out wide and he knows Allegri very well. Another loan deal is incredibly tough and Juve do not want to spend the money that Atleti currently want. As a result, they are looking at alternate options.
At the top of the shortlist for alternative options is Martial, whose profile has impressed many at Juve in the past too. While Martial’s versatility is rated at the club, the fact that he would take time to settle into Serie A is considered to be a drawback as Allegri wants someone who is already ready to play in his system.
