Chelsea monitor Denzel Dumfries amidst concrete chance of Inter exit

Chelsea are keeping tabs on the situation of Inter’s Denzel Dumfries, who has a concrete chance of departing the club this summer.

Recent reports had stated that Erik ten Hag has a liking for the player and if Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaves, the Manchester United manager could look to sign Dumfries at Old Trafford.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have now highlighted interest from Chelsea, who are keeping tabs on the player amidst genuine doubts regarding his stay at the Nerazzurri. Raoul Bellanova has impressed during the friendlies, meaning that Dumfries’ spot has come under threat.

And with Milan Skriniar now expected to stay despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Dumfries’ exit is a possibility. Inter value the Dutchman at €40 million and in the event of an offer matching that valuation, they would sell the player as they have to earn €60 million from sales this summer. It is though, well clear that Dumfries is considered an expendable player at Inter.
