Newcastle United see Juventus’ Merih Demiral as a potential alternative to Lille defender Sven Botman.
It has been recently reported by Gianluca di Marzio that Demiral will return from Atalanta, who are not going to sign the Turk on a permanent basis. He will now return to Juventus but his future remains uncertain.
La Repubblica have now reported that Juve are calm about the situation of the Turkish defender and they will take their time to make a decision about the player’s future. Newcastle see him as an alternative option to Botman, who is also being linked with a move to Milan.
Napoli are also keeping tabs on Demiral and could look to sign him in the event of Kalidou Koulibaly’s exit. Fiorentina could also be an option, as La Viola could also lose Nikola Milenkovic to Inter this summer, with the Nerazzurri looking at the Serbian as a replacement for Milan Skriniar.
