Juventus new signing Paul Pogba leaves training session with a knock

After leaving Manchester United, Paul Pogba joined Juventus on a free transfer earlier this summer, returning to Serie A after six years of topsy-turvy spell in the Premier League.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pogba had to withdraw from Juventus’ latest training session with a slight knock on his right knee at the training ground of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angles.

The report confirms that Pogba limped off the pitch before the end of the training session. After doing a technical exercise, he had to complete a running drill during the afternoon training session.

But the 29-year-old could not finish the assigned task and immediately called for the assistance of the club doctors. Supported by two staff, he went back to the dressing room, with his right knee evidently being the point of concern.

While leaving the field, the midfielder, however, lifted his thumb in a mood of saying that he was fine.

It is claimed that Pogba’s knock doesn’t require further instrumental tests, but the player will have to rest for the next few days. A lengthy spell of absence could cancel the possibility of his involvement in the pre-season friendly against Barcelona, which will be hosted on July 27.

Juventus recently played their first pre-season friendly against Guadalajara. Pogba made the starting line-up and was on the field until half-time. Juventus ended up winning the game 2-0.
