Former Liverpool star, Georginio Wijnaldum is plotting an exit from Paris Saint-Germain just one year after moving to the French capital.
As per Il Messaggero, Roma have contacted PSG over a deal for Georginio Wijnaldum. In reply, PSG has made two proposals, with one being a permanent departure including an exchange for Nicola Zalewski and the other being a loan sale with an obligation for redemption worth โฌ10 million.
It is understood that Roma are not ready to part ways with Zalewski. And thatโs why Tiago Pinto is willing to evaluate the option of a loan deal for the potential transfer of the Dutchman.
Furthermore, Roma have also asked PSG to pay half of the playerโs salary. Wijnaldum is reportedly keen on moving to Rome, spurring a sense of optimism with the Roma camp. They feel that a deal could be struck with PSG this summer.
The report even claims that the next week will be decisive in regard to this ongoing saga around the 31-year-old midfielder. But, if the Giallorossi management fails in their attempt to land Wijnaldum, they have identified Jerdy Schouten as an alternative this summer.
It is reported that Schouten, who has a contract at Bologna until June 2024, could be signed for a transfer fee of around โฌ10-โฌ12 million. In addition to that, Jose Mourinhoโs side continues to keep tabs on Sassuolo star Davide Frattesi.
