Juventus see Chelsea’s Werner and Man Utd’s Martial as alternatives to Morata

Following the capture of Gleison Bremer from Torino, Juventus intend to make some additions to their attacking front. Anthony Martial and Timo Werner have made their way into the Old Lady’s transfer wishlist amid this summer transfer window.

According to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are hopeful of striking a new deal with Atletico Madrid for Alvaro Morata. Massimiliano Allegri is desperate to get the Spaniard back in his team ahead of the 2022/23 season.

However, Juventus are finding it difficult to reach an agreement with the Spanish side over the valuation of the transfer and the formula. Spending the last two years playing for the Turin-based club, Morata returned to Spain earlier this summer.

Upon his return to Atleti, Morata extended his contract until June 2024, opening a window for Juve to bring him in, perhaps on another loan deal. The Italian side continues to work on his return.

On the other hand, the Bianconeri management has also started considering alternatives if they fail to secure the services of the 29-year-old.

Manchester United star Anthony Martial and Chelsea’s Timo Werner are understood to be the two names discussed internally by the 36-time winners of Scudetto.

The report claims that Chelsea could be open to a loan deal for Timo Werner, who has three-year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Martial has made a brilliant start to his pre-season under new manager Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. His contract with the Red Devils expires in June 2024.
