Juventusโ€™ Paul Pogba picks up meniscus injury

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been ruled out of action due to a meniscus injury.

Pogba rejoined Juve on a free transfer earlier this summer, following his contract expiry at Manchester United. While he did travel to the Juve squad for the pre-season friendlies in the US, his return to the Old Lady has suffered a bump.

Juventus have now confirmed the injury in an official statement, stating that the Frenchman felt pain in his right knee and he underwent tests. The tests revealed a lesion on his lateral meniscus and in the few hours, he will undergo specialist orthopedic consultation.

As a result, Pogba will not travel to Dallas with the rest of the squad. This comes after the midfielder had picked up a knock during a training session with the Bianconeri and left the session early. While the issue didnโ€™t seem to have aggravated initially, it does appear as though Pogba will be out for some time.
