Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is set to sign a new deal at the club at the beginning of 2023.
The Georgian has arguably been the best player in Serie A and the Champions League so far this season, contributing to 18 goals in all competitions.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that relations between Kvaratskhelia’s agent Mamuka Jugheli and Napoli’s Cristiano Guintoli are excellent and constant contacts and negotiations have taken place regarding a new deal. Both parties prioritise on making sure that the player grows without fears and problems, even if there are big clubs keeping tabs on him.
The Georgian remains very focused on Napoli and he feels a part of a community that wants him too. Kvaratskhelia’s agent and Guintoli will hold final talks for a contract in January and that is when the details will be sorted out. His current salary is at €1.2 million per season and the wages will be doubled in the next deal, which will expire in 2028.
Napoli feel that it is an acknowledgement of Kvara’s performances and the player will be satisfied with it, amidst interest from English and Spanish sides.
