La Liga club joins Galatasaray in the race for Joao Pedro

Joao Pedro‘s future remains surrounded by the black clouds of uncertainty, with the player willing to leave Cagliari after the loss of their Serie A status.

As per journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Valencia, led by Gennaro Gattuso, have joined Galatasaray in the race for Joao Pedro this summer. The Turkish club has been keeping tabs on the striker’s situation at the relegated side for some time.

There is a strong approval from Galatasaray for the marksman. But the entry of Valencia into the fray has somewhat complicated the situation.

Gattuso likes the profile of the player but is also following Napoli’s Matteo Politano and Diego Demme. In Italy, Turin or Monza could come into the contention, as suggested by the report.

The 30-year-old has a contract at Cagliari until June 2023. But he is unlikely to fulfil that.

Pedulla anticipates that there will be a bidding war for the prize between the suitors of the player, with Cagliari waiting to receive the most “fashionable” proposal in the coming days.
