Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri includes Premier League star in his summer transfer wishlist

Maurizio Sarri is keen on overhauling his Lazio side with a few notable additions over the next summer transfer window.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Lazio head coach wants to bring in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Leander Dendoncker in the summer, with the Rome-based club determined to find an astute replacement for Sergej Milinković-Savić, who will be sold this summer to ease the club’s financial burden.

The report further suggests that the Tuscan man has also apprised his employers of his intention to sign Sassuolo’s Maxime Lopez and Porto’s Vitinha. It is understood that Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto could also part ways with the Italian side, rendering a void in the middle of the park for Biancocelesti.

Currently playing in the Premier League, Dendoncker is a versatile player. He can play as a defensive midfielder, a centre-back, a central midfielder, and has played as an attacking midfielder as well. The Belgian’s current terms at Wolves run out in June 2023.
