Milan plan player sales to sign Real Madrid man

Milan are said to be preparing for player sales in order to afford the signing of Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio.

Daniele Longo has reported that one of Milan’s key goals for the summer is to improve the quality of the winger options in the current squad. Samu Castillejo will be a part of that and he is expected to go back to Spain in the summer. Valencia are at the top of his preferences. Contacts between Valencia and Milan are already underway.

Junior Messias is expected to stay, with Stefano Pioli said to be an admirer of the player. But Alexis Saelemaekers could leave and while he did sign a deal till the summer of 2026, his future could lie away from Italy. The Rossoneri, as things stand, seem confident that an offer from abroad can arrive in the summer and they’d be happy to sell him.

The sales of Castillejo and Saelemaekers are expected to raise some funds for the summer signing of Asensio, who is seen as the key target for the winger role. It has been reported that contact between the two clubs is expected at the end of the campaign.
