Serie A champions Milan are now set to make contact about the possibility of signing Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx.
The Rossoneri are looking to sign a midfielder this summer but have met disappointments in their attempts to sign other targets. The chase for Raphael Onyedika also met with disappointment.
Daniele Longo has reported that a move for Jean Onana has hit the stumbling blocks as well and Bordeaux have made it clear that they will only sell him on a permanent basis. That does not sit well with the Rossoneri, who want to sign him on an initial loan deal with the option to buy next summer.
The Ligue 1 side want €6 million plus bonuses and a percentage of resale fee but Milan have not submitted an offer which is close to that demand.
As a result, the idea of signing Aster Vranckx is gaining momentum. Contacts are expected to be made with the midfielder’s entourage soon.
