Napoli identify two potential replacements for Kalidou Koulibaly

Juventus are gradually closing in on the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly, who is considered a replacement for Chelsea and Bayern Munich target Matthijs de Ligt.

According to journalist Gianluca di Marzio, Napoli have identified Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapié and Fenerbahçe’s Kim Min-jae as the potential replacements for Kalidou Koulibaly.

The report claims that Piero Hincapié was close to moving to Napoli last summer. But a better offer from the German club saw the Ecuadorian complete his move to Bundesliga.

Hincapié, who made 33 appearances for Leverkusen across all competitions last season, has a contract at the German club until June 2026.

Napoli have also been keeping tabs on Kim Min-jae for a long time. Rennes boss Bruno Genesio, who was Kim’s manager in Beijing, has shown interest in his former protege this summer.

If Koulibaly were to leave Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis could opt for one of these two defenders. Juventus, as reported previously, had a meeting with Koulibaly’s agent Fali Ramadani on Wednesday.
