Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has assured the clubโs fans that the Partenopei will fight for the Scudetto again next season.
While Osimhen has been linked with a host of clubs for a summer transfer, the striker spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli about the current season and the fact that the Partenopei couldnโt win the league.
The Nigerian said: โWe are very disappointed not to have fought until the end. We are more disappointed than the fans, but I want to tell them to be rest assured because next year we will fight for the Scudetto again. We will, because we knew we had the qualities to win, we could have won, the Scudetto was our dream. We had to react to defeats, but weโll try again.โ
Napoliโs chances of winning the title fell apart following a dramatic loss to Empoli, who came back from 2-0 down to beat Luciano Spallettiโs side 3-2. The club currently have 73 points in the bag with two games to go in Serie A and a win in the game against Genoa will help them seal the 3rd spot ahead of Juventus.
