Jorge Mendes’ latest and his last offer to Napoli for Cristiano Ronaldo has now been rejected by the Partenopei.
Il Mattino have provided an update about Ronaldo’s links with Napoli, claiming that Mendes has now all but given up on the hope of taking his famed client to the Maradona. And the Portuguese will now not be joining Napoli this summer.
Napoli have refused to consider signing Ronaldo even on a free loan in the case of Victor Osimhen staying at the club. Mendes was aware by yesterday that Manchester United will not be spending the big money on the Nigerian and after that, Aurelio de Laurentiis categorically refused Mendes’ approach for Ronaldo.
It is stated that things were never advanced, when it comes to the talk of Mendes’ proposal and everything was a ‘hypothesis’ for a long time. Ronaldo’s overall salary of €45 million per season is something that Napoli never thought of paying. And as for Osimhen, Napoli and Cristiano Guintoli were clear to Mendes that they will sell the Nigerian without the assistance of external intermediaries such as Mendes himself. The striker’s agent was also very clear about that.
