Napoli sporting director refuses chances of Cristiano Ronaldo January move

Napoli sporting director Cristiano Guintoli has refused the idea of the Partenopei moving for Cristiano Ronaldo in January.

Jorge Mendes had offered Napoli a chance to sign Ronaldo in the summer but the Partenopei would have wanted a massive offer for Victor Osimhen to sign the Portuguese. Nothing materialised and Mendes also tried to send his client to Milan, but the striker stayed at Manchester United.

Ahead of Napoli’s Champions League tie against Rangers, Guintoli spoke to DAZN (via TMW) about Ronaldo and the chances of Napoli signing the Portuguese in January.

He stated: “I’ll be repetitive, right now we’re really thinking about the everyday, not the market. And if I had to think about the market, I’d say we won’t do anything, because I don’t see what to fix, there’s nothing to fix. Things are going so well, the guys are doing so well, we won’t do anything today.”
