Newcastle United are said to be interested in the possibility of signing Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Georgian has been on fire for the Partenopei in the 2022/23 campaign and has been one of the standout players in Serie A and the Champions League.
The Times have reported about the player, stating that Kvaratskhelia is a transfer target for the Magpies and they scouted him regularly before the World Cup started. The reports have been glowing and the Georgian has become their main target for the next two transfer windows.
Napoli are said to value him at ÂŁ50 million, the report claims. Newcastle have made character checks on the player, with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain also interested. Napoli though, are also eager to tie Kvaratskhelia down to a new contract because of his performances. But Newcastle are unlikely to be deterred by the fact that the Partenopei want to hand him a new contract.
