Nicolo Zaniolo’s agent: “He is wanted by many important clubs”

The agent of Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo has revealed that multiple clubs are looking at the Italian but relations with the Giallorossi are excellent.

In recent days, Napoli have been linked with a move for Zaniolo and in the past, the likes of Tottenham and Milan have also been linked with the player.

His agent Claudio Vigorelli though, spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport recently and he gave his views about a host of issues surrounding the Italy international.

He stated: 

“It’s true (news about interest from clubs in Italy and abroad), but no insider could be surprised by the fact that a footballer like Zaniolo, who is 23 years old and has a contract expiring in 2024, is monitored by many important clubs.”

He further gave his views about the valuation that Roma have put on Zaniolo, stating: “You are well aware that I cannot give figures, but they are not difficult to hypothesize. Roma gave Nicolò an important assessment last summer (€50-€60 million). We will negotiate a signing on the basis of the value that the same management has communicated to the market. Nothing more, nothing less.”

While there has been talk about the fact that the relationship between Zaniolo’s agent and Roma has fractured, but Vigorelli dismissed any talk of that sort. The agent stated:

“There is no darkness on the horizon. We have an excellent relationship with Roma and with Tiago Pinto and we agree that at this point we will talk about the renewal later, when the management deems it appropriate. Now the most important thing is to focus on the work and performance to be done on the pitch.”

The 23-year-old Zaniolo has made 11 Serie A appearances this season and has one goal. But he has already faced some fitness and injury issues in the campaign, having contributed to four goals in the UEFA Europa League.
