OFFICIAL | Juventus sign Filip Kostić from Eintracht Frankfurt

Serbian winger Filip Kostić has officially joined Serie A side Juventus after having agreed on a transfer fee of €15 million with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Italian giants turned their attention towards Kostić after failing to secure Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid owing to stagnant reluctance from Diego Simeone. According to a report from Alfredo Pedulla, the Serbian also reportedly asked the German club to terminate his contract in order to facilitate his move to Juventus but such drastic measures were not needed and the negotiations went on respectfully for the two sides.

The idea was to deliver Kostić to Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri before Eintracht plays Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday and the goal has been achieved.

The 29-year-old is a versatile player upfront having the ability to play on both wings while effectively tracking back opponents when required. During the 2021/22 season, he netted 7 times and registered 15 assists in 42 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt across all competitions.
