PSG goalkeeper Donnarumma on Messi’s penalty miss v Real Madrid: “Happens to everyone.”

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has talked about Lionel Messi’s missed penalty against Real Madrid.

Messi had missed a penalty in the second-half against Real but PSG did end up winning the game as a result of Kylian Mbappe’s late winner in the 94th minute of the first leg.

After the game, Italy international Donnarumma spoke to Mediaset and talked about Messi’s penalty: “I have nothing to say about Leo, it happens to everyone. We all know who Leo Messi is. We have many champions who can win the match. Kylian has thought about it, we all had an incredible match.”

About the win, Donnarumma said: “It was a great satisfaction, we only missed the first goal, Kylian thought about it. We are very happy, now we think about the championship but also in Madrid it will be another great match. We feel strong, giving 100% and we can beat everyone. I am proud to be part of this group and this company.”

Donnarumma slowly broke into the PSG first-team after there was talk of him being frustrated at not being able to start regularly. But he’s now a regular for the club between the sticks.
