Real Madrid preparing an offer of €120m for Rafael Leao

Milan are aware of Real Madrid’s interest in Rafael Leao but remain determined in their attempt to keep hold of the winger in the summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Real Madrid have prepared an offer of around €120million for the Portuguese sensation.

Having failed to land Erling Haaland first and then Kylian Mbappe (with the former joining Manchester City and the latter penning a new three-year extension at Paris Saint-Germain), Los Blancos have become desperate in their hunt for a striker.

In Serie A, Rafael Leao has just ended a stellar campaign with AC Milan, where the 22-year-old has notched up 11 goals and eight assists from 34 league appearances.

On the back of an incredible end to the season where he led Milan to their first Scudetto since the 2010/11 campaign, he has attracted attention from almost every European heavyweight looking for a striker in the market. Leao has a release clause of €150million in his current contract that runs until June 2024.

Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly a huge admirer of the player. And Milan know about the interest of the foreign clubs in their asset. Therefore, the Rossoneri are willing to offer Leao a new contract until June 2026 with an annual salary of €5million to fend off the external interest in the witty trickster.
