Salernitana make offer for ex-Juventus boss Pirlo

Salernitana have now made an approach to make Andrea Pirlo their manager, about eight months after he was sacked by Juventus.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Pirlo has recently rejected an approach from Genoa and also pegged back an offer from the Polish national team too. But Salernitana have presented a four-year contract offer to the Italian.

Pirlo is considering the offer and is taking a while to answer it. He is expected to give a response to Walter Sabatini in the next few hours.

This comes after Sportitalia had reported that Salernitana are considering sacking Stefano Colantuono and Pirlo is one of the candidates to replace him.
