Sergej Milinkovic-Savic likely to stay at Lazio despite Man Utd interest

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic continues to head closer to staying at Lazio this summer despite interest from Manchester United.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about Milinkovic-Savic today, claiming that even though United are interested in the Serbian, there is no offer on the horizon from the Red Devils.

With every passing day, the chances of the midfielder’s stay at the Biancocelesti are increasing and Maurizio Sarri would do ‘anything’ to keep Il Sergente at the Olimpico. That, despite Lazio’s need to make money in the window and Milinkovic-Savic’s desires to play in the Champions League.

Despite that, Milinkovic-Savic is expected to stay on the market till the last day of the window and while that is creating troubles for Lazio, all things point towards his stay at the club. And the player would absolutely not be against the idea of staying.

Milinkovic-Savic’s current deal runs out in the summer of 2024 and he has not shown willingness to sign a new contract.
