Sportmediaset release Serie A’s ‘Flop XI of the Season’

Sportmediaset have released Serie’A Flop XI of the Season for the now-concluded 2021/22 season.

The Serie A season ended yesterday with Milan winning Serie A following a win over Sassuolo and Salernitana surviving the drop despite a 4-0 loss to Udinese. Cagliari got relegated, as they failed to beat Venezia and were held to a 0-0 draw. Elsewhere, Fiorentina earned a spot in next season’s UEFA Conference League.

WIth the conclusion of the campaign, Sportmediaset have come up with a Flop XI of the Season list and it has three Juventus players – Adrien Rabiot, Alex Sandro and Moise Kean. Fiorentina’s Krzysztof Piatek was also given a spot in the list, with Sergey Milinkovic-Savic‘s brother – Vanja, the choice of goalkeeper in the team.

Jordan Veretout, who has had a torrid season under Jose Mourinho, is also in the team and so is Stefano Sensi, who endured another injury-prone campaign at Inter and then at Sampdoria.

Sportmediaset’s Flop 11 (3-4-1-2): Milinkovic-Savic, Djimsiti, Luiz Felipe, Maksimovic, Hateboer, Rabiot, Veretout, Alex Sandro, Sensi, Kean, Piatek.
