Severance pay blocks Napoli’s move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Keylor Navas

The lack of a severance pay is said to be currently holding up Napoli’s move for goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Napoli seemed close to signing Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa some weeks ago but the agreement between the two clubs could not be reached. Navas emerged as a target for the Partenopei soon after.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that there is no agreement between PSG and Navas for a severance pay that could release the experienced goalkeeper from his current contract at the French side. As things stand, PSG do no want to release him from his contract as that decision would see them pay a certain amount to release the ex-Real Madrid.

While that is holding up the transfer, there is a possibility that this decision from PSG ends up blocking the transfer. If the move does not happen now, Napoli could potentially try to sign the player once again in January.
