Tottenham’s Kulusevski on Juventus: “I couldn’t be myself.”

Tottenham Hotspur’s new signing Dejan Kulusevski has stated that he couldn’t be himself during his time at Juventus.

Kulusevski had joined Juve from Atalanta during his loan spell at Parma and had played under Andrea Pirlo in his first season at the club. Under Max Allegri this season, he failed to be a regular and was moved on by Juve in the last few days of the January transfer window.

In an interview with Sky Sport 24, Kulusevski talked about his time at Juve and stated: “I don’t know, sometimes football is like that. I found a little less space and I couldn’t be myself . I didn’t succeed to do what I have inside of me, but life continues.

“I had many highs at Juve, especially in the final part of last season, in which I finished very well, especially with the victory obtained against Atalanta . Now I play at Tottenham and I am very happy here.”

Kulusevski has already made two appearances for Spurs this season, playing in the FA Cup against Brighton and playing against Southampton in the club’s loss in the Premier League. Rodrigo Bentancur also joined Spurs and he has also played twice.
