Serie A side Atalanta are now expected to land Milanโs Charles de Ketelaere in the next couple of days.
De Ketelaere endured a turbulent first season during his time at the Rossoneri and he is now expected to depart the Diavolo after just one season at the club. Atalanta reached an agreement in principle with Milan over a move but the player was yet to give his final decision.
Sky Italia state that the Belgian is one step away from heading to La Dea and the move will likely close in the next 48 hours. Milan will earn โฌ3 million from the initial loan deal and Atalanta will have to pay โฌ22 million and bonuses of โฌ4 million in the permanent deal, with an option to buy included in the move.
Milan will have a 10 percent resale percentage in the deal, with the Rossoneri having already agreed a move for Baselโs Riccardo Calafiori. That will be an initial loan deal and the reason why Milan arenโt looking to sign an expensive back-up to Theo Hernandez as there is belief at the club that Davide Bartesaghi could be someone who can take over that role at some point in the future.
