Atalanta make contact for Nottingham Forest’s Emmanuel Dennis

Atalanta have now made the decision to sell striker Rasmus Højlund and are now hunting for replacements, with Nottingham Forest’s Emmanuel Dennis seen as a top candidate.

Marco Conterio has reported that with the Dane set to head to Old Trafford, La Dea have initiated contact with Nottingham Forest for Dennis, who has been of interest to them for a while now. They have also held initial talks for the Nigerian but he is seen as the right candidate to replace Højlund.

Atalanta believe that he could prove to be a similar signing as Dennis’ compatriot Ademola Lookman, who formed a very good partnership with Højlund last season and they worked very well in tandem.

While last season was not impressive for Dennis at Forest, he scored ten times for Watford in the 2021/22 season and racked up six assists in 33 games. That was the highest goalscoring tally for him in a single season.
