Atalanta forward Luis Muriel will not join Roma on transfer deadline day today.
The Colombian has been linked with a move to the Giallorossi throughout the window and was linked with the club even last summer. Corriere della Sera have stated that Roma could make late move to sign the player from Atalanta, who could let him leave.
But according to sources contacted by Get Italian Football News, that is not the case and any move on deadline day has been described as ‘impossible’, let alone a transfer to Roma. Muriel is set to stay at La Dea beyond the January transfer window this time around.
This season, the forward has made 12 Serie A appearances and he has one goal and two assists. His importance in the side has reduced with time, as his best campaign at Atalanta was during the 2020/21 season, when he scored 22 times and racked up nine assists.
