Aurelio de Laurentiis admits troubles with Napoli boss Rudi Garcia

Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis has admitted that he is having troubles with manager Rudi Garcia, as the club ponders a decision about the Frenchman.

Garcia’s future is said to be in the balance at Napoli, who dropped out of the top four this past weekend after a disappointing loss to Fiorentina. La Viola went into the top four after that win, but Napoli’s form is a cause of concern and the likes of Matteo Politano, Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratshkelia have already expressed their annoyance publicly with some of their substitutions.

De Laurentiis recently spoke at a press conference about Garcia and he revealed that he isn’t having the best of times with the Napoli boss.

He said: “I’m having a bad time with him. I am an entrepreneur, I have the duty to take an interest in my business. The coach and the sporting director are at your service. I will make the most appropriate decisions when the time comes to make them. The square cannot be conditioning. You must always take a reflective pause. Every hasty decision is wrong.”

De Laurentiis’ words align with what was reported earlier today by Corriere della Sera. It was reported that De Laurentiis had a meeting with Garcia after the loss to Fiorentina, but a meeting involving the club’s higher-ups took place yesterday and while a lot of the others want an exit for the Frenchman, De Laurentiis wants to wait for two more games.
