Milanโs Ruben Loftus-Cheek dominated for the Rossoneri against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and Stefano Pioliโs enjoyed a summer signing who only recently returned from injury, but he had an impact in his first few games as well.
For some days, it didnโt seem as if Loftus-Cheek would be available for the game yesterday but the Englishman came through and produced a sparkling show at the San Siro.
Daniele Longo has provided some insight into how Milan signed the midfielder, stating that the deal was worth โฌ15 million plus bonuses of โฌ5 million. The โฌ15 million part was the base payment and the bonuses of โฌ5 million were linked to the playerโs performances in the Serie A and the Champions League. It is stated that if performances like the one put in yesterday continue, the bonuses could be met.
Loftus-Cheek earns a wage of โฌ4 million per season, which is in line with how much he earned in the Premier League. In fact, the ex-Fulham man had chosen Milan as his next destination back in October and a vital point in the deal had come after Chelsea and Milan had met in the Champions League last season.ย
Loftus-Cheek had impressed the likes of Ricky Massara and Paolo Maldini in the game and he later picked Milan, despite offers from Premier League sides.ย
