Napoli and Union Berlin fans have clashed ahead of the two sides’ Champions League tie in Naples later today.
Yesterday, reports had emerged on Milan fans having clashed with Paris Saint-Germain in an incident that left two fans injured and even the police had sustained injuries.
Il Mattino (via TMW) have reported that the clash between the sets of Napoli and Union fans took place in Fuorigrotta, which isn’t too far away from the Maradona Stadium. Police forces also intervened soon after and it is reported that the Union fans were without tickets and won’t be able to attend the game anyway.
Earlier during the day, 250 fans of the German club had clashed with the police and those fans are expected to arrive around the stadium soon. Police are on alert, with Digos keeping a close eye on their activities, with the railway station and the A1 motorway being monitored.
