Eleven players could leave Inter at the end of the season

Inter could face a revolution at the end of the season as eleven players could potentially leave the Nerazzurri in June, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

In order to cash in money to be then reinvested on the transfer window, Inter are considering the sale of Marcelo Brozović, Joaquin Correa and Denzel Dumfries.

Among those three players, Correa is the main candidate to leave but at the same time it’s the toughest one to be sold as Inter invested €31 million to sign him from Lazio in 2021 and it’s unlikely that they could get back this same amount of money. In the best case scenario, he will be loaned out.

As for the players on loan, only Francesco Acerbi is likely to be signed on a permanent deal from Lazio. The buy option for Raoul Bellanova will not be triggered and he will return to Cagliari.

Romelu Lukaku has already showed his intention to stay at Inter but CEO Giuseppe Marotta has to rediscuss the terms of the deal with Chelsea as the Belgian’s loan this season has costed €20 million gross to Inter. If they fail to find a new deal, Lukaku will not come back to Inter for the 2023/24 season.

Finally, there are six players whose contracts will expire at the end of the season. Among those six players, Inter are holding talks only with two – Stefan de Vrij and Edin Džeko, but both deals are far from done as Inter will offer a lower salary to De Vrij (he’s currently on a €4.5 million per year) and a one-year contract to Dzeko, who is asking for a two-year-deal.

Milan Škriniar and Roberto Gagliardini’s contract will expire too at the end of the season and it is certain that both players will leave while it is possibile that a new deal could be found for both Samir Handanović and Danilo D’Ambrosio.
