Federico Bernardeschi reveals Juventus return hopes: “Always there for Juve”

Former Juventus star Federico Bernardeschi has hinted that he would jump at the chance to reunite with the Bianconeri, should they come calling.

Italian international Bernardeschi, of course, spent five years on the books at the Allianz Stadium, from 2017 to 2022.

The 29-year-old divided fans throughout his time in Juve colours, often accused of simply not possessing the quality required to justify his price-tag.

And yet, one aspect of his game which was never called into question was his attitude.

‘Berna’, even during his lowest lows in Turin, always gave his all, fully committing to the Juventus mantra of ‘Fino Alla Fine’.

In turn, it should perhaps not come as a major surprise to hear that the winger would be keen to link back up with his former employers at some point in the future.

Media speculation earlier in the season had pointed towards Juventus setting their sights on Bernardeschi as a surprise January target, if they fail to land other targets in the same position.

And though ensuing reports have since played down the likelihood of as much, the Toronto FC standout has this weekend taken advantage of the opportunity to send something of a message to the Old Lady of Italian football.

Speaking in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by TuttomercatoWeb, Bernardeschi explained:

“At Juventus I became a man and a top-class footballer, a piece of my heart remained there. I will always be there for Juventus. And, I have a home in Turin…”
