Incredible stat shows Jose Mourinho’s impact at Roma

Roma reached the Europa League final today as they managed to grind out a goalless draw away to Bayer Leverkusen, who tried their best to breakdown a stern Giallorossi defence but failed.

Jose Mourinho had guided Roma to success in the Conference League final last season and they are now one game away from sealing the Europa League title, which could be Mourinho’s third of his career. He won the first one with Porto and the second one with English giants Manchester United in 2017.

But this is the first time in their history that Roma have reached two consecutive European finals. In fact, as per Opta, they have now reached as many European finals with Mourinho as they did without the Portuguese. That, in a nutshell, says a lot about the impact the ex-Real Madrid and Tottenham boss has had on the club.

Sevilla, who beat Juventus in Seville, will not be an easy opposition considering their Europa League pedigree but with Mourinho’s track record in finals, Roma will fancy their chances.
