Juventus agree personal terms with Lille’s Timothy Weah

Juventus are now keen on signing Lille’s Timothy Weah this summer and they have now agreed personal terms for the American.

Giovanni Albanese has reported that the US international has become a key target for Juve and recently, a meeting was held between the club and Weah’s entourage. The outcome of the meeting was a positive one, as Juve managed to find an agreement in principle over personal terms for the player.

But the race isn’t expected to be easy, as Atletico Madrid have also accelerated for Weah. There remains a risk that an English club could enter the chase and potentially sign the 23-year-old quickly.

As things stand, Lille want €15 million for the player and it isn’t highly negotiable because the fee is low and there are clubs interested in him. Juve know that and to increase their chances, they could add a player in the deal and that player could be Denis Zakaria, whose wages could be affordable for Lille.
