Juventus’ Denis Zakaria set for Monaco move

Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria is on the edge of joining AS Monaco on a permanent deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Monaco have agreed a deal with Juventus for Swiss midfielder Zakaria. Monaco will pay the Bianconeri €20M, while Juventus have also managed to obtain a sell on clause. It’ll be a huge percentage on the future sale, Romano reports. Zakaria is on his way to have his medical.

Zakaria joined Juventus from Borussia Mönchengladbach during the winter of the 2021/22 Serie A season. Dušan Vlahović signed for the Bianconeri in the same window. The pair both scored on their debuts against Hellas Verona (2-0).

Zakaria’s Juventus career, however, didn’t quite go as planned. The Bianconeri decided to loan him out after only half a season at the club. At Chelsea, he also couldn’t break into the starting eleven. Chelsea decided against using the option to buy they had for the 26-year-old, so he returned to Juventus.

It was clear he didn’t have a future at the club anymore, so Monaco are offering the perfect solution for Zakaria.
