Juventus’ Filip Kostic racially abused during Spezia game

Juventus wing-back Filip Kostic was recently racially abused by a group of Spezia fans during the Bianconeri’s Serie A win at the weekend.

Kostic had started the game at left wing-back but he was taken off by manager Max Allegri later in the second half. La Gazzetta dello Sport state that the Serbian was racially abused by some Aquilotti supporters when he was going off in the 80th minute of the tie.

There were insults of various kinds used against him and he was also racially abused. The Serbian had made an ironic salute with his hand when he was abused, keeping his calm during the situation.

That isn’t the only objectionable incident which happened though. Two Spezia employees were on duty in the away stand and they were urinated on by a man from above. The club have confirmed that this incident did indeed take place and they will investigate it using HD cameras.
