Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani looking at Qatari stakeholder for Sampdoria takeover

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani is interested in taking over Sampdoria and he is now looking at entering into a potential partnership with a Qatari financer to own the Genoa-based outfit.

Samp are in financial trouble and there is talk of bankruptcy, with the club struggling to find a new owner after Massimo Ferrero, who has run out of assets and money. Yesterday, Leeds owner Radrizzani arrived at the club’s sports centre and he was there with Matteo Manfredi, with the support of Jordan Rocca, a young Genoese entrepreneur who lives in London and has always been a huge fan of Sampdoria.

Il Sole 24 Ore (via TMW) have now reported that Radrizzani is trying to make sure that he buys the club in a partnership with another stakeholder. The Leeds owner is said to have sent a proposal on Saturday and presented an updated one to the banks yesterday.

He is specifically looking for an international investor for the takeover, with the dossier having been presented to a Qatari group with whom the Italian is looking to partner with for the Samp takeover.
