Uncertainty around Max Allegri’s future at Juventus

The uncertainty around Max Allegri’s future at Juventus is now increasing, despite the recent public assurances.

After the 4-1 loss to Empoli, Allegri had said that he would be a ‘coward’ for having to leave Juve at this point in the club’s history and CEO Francesco Calvo had also stated that the club believe in the Italian.

Marco Conterio has now reported that John Elkann’s recent words convey a certain about a uncertainty around Allegri. Elkann stated that Allegri feels certain amount of responsibility for how things have gone down and he is keen on turning things around in the last two games.

Cracks are starting to show at the club and Allegri has not been keen on bringing Cristiano Guintoli as the club’s sporting director either. The results in recent weeks and the trophyless campaigns are making the club’s higher-ups consider a change of manager. While no decision has been made, the next sporting director’s decision will be key. Conversations will be held with Allegri to talk about the future and as things stand, there is no certainty about whether he will be the Bianconeri manager next season or not.
