Manchester United renounce interest in Denzel Dumfries

Premier League giants Manchester United have relinquished their interest in signing Inter wing-back Denzel Dumfries.

FcInter1908 reports that manager Ten Hag has decided to trigger the one-year extension of Aaron Wan Bissaka, keeping him at the Old Trafford until 2025, after having renewed Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot on a five-year deal.

Dumfries has been a player that the Dutch tactician admired greatly as Manchester United were monitoring the 27 year-old over the past six months, as the Dutchman amassed two goals and four assists in 51 appearances across all competitions last season.

Although the Red Devils were expected to submit an offer to the Nerazzurri within the summer market, the English outfits have ultimately decided to not make contact with the Dutch international’s agent and to cease their pursuit as they feel that they are adequately covered within the full-back department heading into this year’s campaign.
